After a brief flirtation with a book deal, the real estate mogul is finally getting a movie deal.
The Hollywood Reporter says that director Matt Damon is working on a biopic of Trump, the same film that got a limited release on Netflix in January, but the film is expected to release in 2018.
The film will star Matt Damon and Alicia Vikander, a former model who was born in Puerto Rico and has made headlines for her alleged racist comments about Latinos.
The news comes just days after Damon was arrested for domestic violence and assault after allegedly choking a woman.
Damon is the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, earning a reported $1.1 billion over the last three years.
He has said that he would not do another film until he was on the receiving end of a “bigger payday.”
The film is the latest in a string of Hollywood films that have been released this year, including the comedy “Happy Endings” and the biopic “My Name is Earl.”
Damon’s career has been built on his versatility.
He’s appeared in a slew of movies, including “Good Will Hunting” and “The Butler,” but he has also starred in films like “Fences,” “Black Mass,” “The Revenant,” “Patton,” and “Selma.”
But now, it appears he’s getting more creative, with the film expected to hit theaters in 2018, The Hollywood Review reported.
